Applying this cycle

Everything is on the clock. Let's make sure it's not wasted.

AMCAS is open, secondaries are coming, and every week that passes without submitting matters more than most applicants realize. This isn’t the time for perfectionism. It’s the time for execution.

Rolling admissions means applying in June is meaningfully different from applying in September, even with an identical application. The applicants who do well this cycle aren’t necessarily the ones with the strongest files, they’re often the ones who moved decisively instead of waiting for perfect.

Focus Areas

Submit early
Don’t wait for your personal statement or activities section to feel perfect. Submit, then keep refining secondaries as they roll in.

Have your secondary responses ready before they arrive
Most secondary prompts repeat year over year. Draft your “why this school” and “diversity” responses now so you’re not scrambling later.

Prepare for interviews before you’re invited
Interview invitations can come with very little notice. Being ready ahead of time removes the panic.

Know your actual standing
