Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of premedcommunity.com and all related tools, resources, community platforms, products, and services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by Pre-Med Community and Wil Caruso, MD (“Pre-Med Community,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Who can use the Services

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are between 13 and 18, you should have parental or guardian consent before providing personal information or making purchases. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

The nature of the Services: educational information only

Pre-Med Community provides educational information, tools, and community resources related to the medical school admissions process. The Services are not medical, legal, financial, or professional admissions consulting advice.

Content on the Services, including blog posts, videos, newsletters, calculator results, downloadable guides, and community discussions, reflects general educational information and personal opinions based on the experience of Wil Caruso, MD, and other contributors. It is not a substitute for personalized guidance from a qualified professional.

We make no guarantees, promises, or warranties regarding medical school admission outcomes. Admissions decisions depend on many factors outside our control and outside your control, including but not limited to individual school policies, admissions committee composition, applicant pool competitiveness, interview performance, and factors that no third party can predict or influence with certainty.

Any advice, framework, or recommendation provided through the Services should be evaluated by you in the context of your individual situation. You are responsible for the decisions you make regarding your application, education, and career.

The Med School Chances Calculator

The Med School Chances Calculator (“Calculator”) provides an estimate of applicant competitiveness based on AAMC published data and general admissions patterns. Calculator results are educational estimates only and do not constitute a guarantee, prediction, or promise of admission.

Real admissions decisions include factors the Calculator cannot model, including personal statement quality, letters of recommendation, interview performance, and the specific class each medical school is trying to build in any given cycle.

Calculator results reflect general trends, not individual outcomes. Do not make major life decisions based solely on Calculator results.

Accounts and community

Some Services, including the Pre-Med Community Skool community, may require you to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Within community spaces, you agree to:

      • Treat other members with respect

      • Not share confidential or proprietary information belonging to others

      • Not share application materials belonging to other applicants without their explicit consent

      • Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior

      • Not promote products, services, or opportunities without permission

      • Not share content that violates any law or third-party right

      • Not attempt to sell admissions-related fraud, including ghostwritten personal statements presented as your own work

    We reserve the right to remove members from the community, delete content, or terminate access to the Services for violations of these Terms without notice.

    Purchases, payments, and refunds

    Free content: Newsletter subscriptions, downloadable guides, blog content, the Calculator, and the free tier of the Skool community are provided at no cost.

    Paid products and services: Any paid products or services (including future courses, membership tiers, digital products, and consulting services) are governed by the pricing, terms, and refund policies stated at the time of purchase. Where these Terms conflict with product-specific terms, the product-specific terms control for that transaction.

    Payments: Payments are processed by third-party processors (Stripe, PayPal, or similar). We do not store your payment card details. Payment processor terms apply to your transaction.

    Digital Goods & Refund Policy
    Due to the digital nature of our pre-med resources, guides, and community materials, all sales are final. Unlike physical products, digital content is fully delivered and accessible immediately upon purchase, making it impossible to “return.”
     
    We encourage you to thoroughly review the product descriptions, sample materials, and module outlines before completing your purchase. Exceptions to this policy will only be evaluated under extreme, documented technical circumstances where access to the platform could not be granted by our support team.
     
    The Chargeback Warning: “By completing your purchase, you agree that you will not initiate a credit card chargeback or dispute without first attempting to resolve the matter directly with our customer support team.”
     
    The Account Termination Clause: “In the event that a refund is granted, your access to all digital vaults, shared folders, community platforms, and future email update lines will be immediately and permanently revoked.”
     

    Consulting services: Refund and cancellation policies for one-on-one consulting will be specified in the service agreement provided at the time of engagement. Once a consulting session has been delivered, it is generally non-refundable.

    Community memberships: If paid Skool community tiers are offered in the future, they will follow monthly subscription terms specified at the time of enrollment.

    Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback without first contacting us for a refund may result in permanent removal from the Services and forfeiture of any current or future access to paid products.

     

    License to Digital Products and Course Materials

    Purchase or access to any Pre-Med Community course, guide, question bank, station bank, template, video, worksheet, or other paid or free digital resource provides the user with a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use that material for the user’s own educational purposes.

    No ownership interest is transferred.

    Unless Pre-Med Community expressly authorizes otherwise in writing, users may not share login credentials; reproduce or distribute substantial portions of the materials; upload them to shared drives, course-sharing websites, repositories, artificial intelligence systems, or public databases; sell or sublicense them; create competing commercial products substantially derived from them; or use them to provide paid admissions consulting, tutoring, coaching, or training to third parties.

    The foregoing does not restrict rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including applicable fair-use rights.

    Intellectual property

    All content on the Services, including blog posts, videos, newsletters, calculator design and methodology, downloadable guides, course materials, brand assets, and community content contributed by Pre-Med Community, is owned by Pre-Med Community and Wil Caruso, MD, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

    You may:

        • Read, watch, and personally use content on the Services

        • Share links to public content on the Services

        • Quote short excerpts with proper attribution and a link back to premedcommunity.com

      You may not:

          • Republish, redistribute, or resell content from the Services without written permission

          • Use content from the Services to train artificial intelligence models or machine learning systems without written permission

          • Present content from the Services as your own

          • Use the Pre-Med Community name, logo, or brand elements without written permission

          • Reverse-engineer, replicate, or repurpose the Calculator or any proprietary methodology

        Violations may result in legal action, including but not limited to injunctive relief and damages.

        Independent Content and Third-Party Rights

        Pre-Med Community develops its original educational materials through a combination of independent authorship, professional and educational experience, independent research, and publicly available sources. Where third-party materials are quoted, referenced, licensed, or attributed, ownership of those materials remains with their respective rights holders.

        Pre-Med Community does not grant users any rights in confidential, proprietary, trademarked, copyrighted, or otherwise protected material belonging to a third party.

        Nothing on the Services should be interpreted as claiming ownership over material that lawfully belongs to another person or organization. Conversely, the inclusion of general admissions concepts, public information, commonly used educational methods, or ideas does not waive Pre-Med Community’s rights in its original expression, organization, selection, arrangement, commentary, graphics, examples, exercises, tools, or other protectable original authorship.

        Additional information regarding independent operation, authorship, professional experience, and third-party confidentiality appears in our Independence & Disclosures statement, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

        User-generated content

        If you post content in the Skool community, submit content via a contact form, reply to a newsletter, or otherwise submit content to Pre-Med Community, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Services. You retain ownership of content you create.

        You represent that any content you submit does not violate the rights of any third party, is not defamatory, and complies with these Terms.

        You are solely responsible for content you post. Pre-Med Community is not liable for content posted by users.

        Affiliate disclosure

        Some links on the Services are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We only recommend products and services we believe genuinely serve pre-med students.

        Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial content. We disclose material affiliate relationships in compliance with FTC guidelines.

        Third-party products, services, and links

        The Services may reference or link to third-party products, tools, services, and websites. Pre-Med Community does not control third parties and is not responsible for their content, products, services, privacy practices, or policies. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

        Mention of a specific third-party product or service does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty.

        Testimonials and results

        Any testimonials or success stories featured on the Services reflect individual experiences and are not typical results. Your outcomes will depend on your specific situation, effort, and factors outside our control. No specific result is guaranteed or implied.

        Prohibited uses

        You agree not to:

            • Use the Services in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation

            • Impersonate Pre-Med Community, Wil Caruso, MD, or any other person or entity

            • Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or its underlying infrastructure

            • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Services except as expressly permitted (search engine crawlers are permitted)

            • Use the Services to send spam or unsolicited communications

            • Attempt to extract or aggregate content from the Services for republication or commercial use

            • Use content from the Services in a manner that misrepresents your qualifications, experience, or achievements to a medical school

            • Use the Services to solicit clients or promote a competing business

          We reserve the right to terminate access for anyone violating these prohibitions.

          Disclaimer of warranties

          The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. Pre-Med Community disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, and availability.

          We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that any content, tools, or recommendations will produce specific results.

          Limitation of liability

          To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pre-Med Community, Wil Caruso, MD, and any related parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services. This includes but is not limited to lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, admissions decisions, career decisions, or emotional distress.

          Our total liability for any claim related to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Pre-Med Community in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

          Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

          Indemnification

          You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pre-Med Community, Wil Caruso, MD, and related parties from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

          Termination

          We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

          You may stop using the Services at any time. Unsubscribing from the newsletter can be done via the unsubscribe link in any email. Deleting your Skool account can be done through the Skool platform.

          Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

          Governing law and dispute resolution

          These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

          Informal resolution first: Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at admin@premedcommunity.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. Most disputes can be resolved this way.

          Formal disputes: If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

          Class action waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved individually, not as part of a class action, class-wide arbitration, or representative action.

          Changes to these Terms

          We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via email to subscribers or via a notice on the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.

          If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should stop using the Services.

          Miscellaneous

          Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

          No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

          Entire agreement: These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pre-Med Community regarding the Services.

          Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
